I am currently working as Head of Digital Services Section in the Norwegian Consumer Council, covering issues such as data protection, telecoms and digital rights in general in Norway and Europe.
Previous to this, I spent five years working in Brussels on various policy areas such as environmental technologies, energy and infrastructure issues (as Special Advisor and Deputy to the Director at the EU office of the Norwegian Transmission System Operator (TSO), Statnett and as a Consultant and Deputy Managing Director at the Brussels Office). I have previously worked as a Higher Executive Officer in the European Policy Section of the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, two years as President of the political youth NGO, JEF-Norway.
I have a MSc in ‘Politics and Government in the European Union’ from the London School of Economics (LSE), and is currently studying part time for an Executive MBA at Hult International Business School in London.
I also have extensive experience from various volunteer work and positions, such as Norwegian Youth Representative to the United Nations General Assembly in 2003 (you can read my speech here)and UN-Habitat World Urban Forum in 2004. I’ve been actively involved in CISV, European Youth Parliament (EYP), Young European Federalist (JEF) and International Student Conference Model United Nations (ISCOMUN).
